The Appleby Farms Story…

The story starts with two third and fourth generation farmers from Nelson, New Zealand.

Neighbours and mates for years, Murray and Julian believed they should be eating dairy the way it used to be – full of the goodness of A2 protein. So for over a decade, they knuckled down and bred their cows to be 100% A2-certified.

And when life gives you great milk …make great ice cream. But that wasn’t Murray and Julian’s first thought.

They knew their milk was too delicious to send off in a big tanker. They considered turning it into yoghurt and cheese until local food technologist and friend Kristy Giles suggested something different.

‘Turn it into ice cream’ she said. So they did.

Since selling our first scoop in December 2017, they’ve built our very own creamery in sunny Nelson.

Just 15-minutes down the road from Julian and Murray’s farms, this state-of-the-art facility means they can share their ice cream with the world without losing the quality and integrity that’s at the heart of everything they do.

That’s why they’ve committed to investing 10% of our annual profits into supporting sustainable farming initiatives and environmental projects in our local region. But this is just the beginning.

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.
